Like most small businesses in America; Home Expressions Interiors by Laura Bloom Inc has struggled over the last three years during the recession. We are extremely grateful for the continued support of our previous clients; many of whom have become cherished friends. We are equally thankful for the new clients we have had the pleasure of working with and getting to know during this time. We believe that sound financial choices along with high quality professional services are attributed to our doors remaining open.
2011 seemed to be a time for homeowners to dream about their home projects and so far 2012 seems to be a time to make those dreams come true. We are cautiously optimistic for the remainder of the year as more people come the realization that they will most likely remain in their current homes for quite some time. This realization is resulting in the decision by many to move forward with investing in the current enjoyment of their homes; while adding value to be gained when the market eventually improves. The trend is to spend responsibly with smaller projects being implemented one at a time consecutively as opposed to al at once. This careful spending is sparking a beginning to the recovery of the economy.
During the recession the color choices have been earthy and neutral evoking a calm and somber mood like much that of the country; we are now evolving into more fresh and vibrant accents signifying hope. Gas prices, inflation and an election year will continue to influence spending habits but for now we encourage all to support your local small businesses and in November get out and VOTE!
